Every genre has its tropes: the dark lord and prophesied hero in fantasy, the forbidden love of YA vampire stories, or the sci-fi robot that struggles to answer the question of whether or not they are capable of real love. No matter your preference we love these genres in all their tropey glory…but that’s no reason to not make fun of them a little, right?

Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the ‘Monty Python’ of fiction: Project Destiny.

SYNOPSIS:  

When the Grand Lord of the Cosmos gives his daughter the deed to earth as a present, together they must unravel mankind’s greatest mysteries like fast food, relationships, and government red tape. They will triumph with the help of one key advantage: the ability to change the book’s genre as their needs demand.

When regular dude David and his loser friend Cooper get entwined into the lives of this daunting duo, it goes without saying they are a little in over their heads. Their misadventures will drag them from genre to genre to the final showdown where worlds collide into the biggest train wreck this side of the universe.

As you can immediately tell, this project is far different than anything else I’ve ever written, but something I’ve been itching to do for a long time now. I’m not sure if it was birthed as a legitimate idea or from an insanity-induced crack in my brain after ten years of writing, but so far it’s practically writing itself and I’m enjoying every minute of it. The book is no genre and all genres at once; a parody of everything we know and love about fiction. Expect to laugh your way through satire of epic fantasy, Victorian romance, Trashy romance, Sci-fi, and much more!
